Creamed Peas & Potatoes

Heidi says, “My family waits all year for the first garden peas and new red potatoes so that I can make this recipe.”
Ingredients: 
1 1/2 pounds tiny new red potatoes
2 cups shelled peas
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 to 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
3 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups milk
Directions: 

1.    Clean the potatoes and cook until just tender, drain.
2.    Cook fresh peas until just tender and drain.
3.    Cook onion in butter until tender.
4.    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
5.    Cook for several minutes; whisk in milk.
6.    Stir until thickened and bubbly.
7.    Add peas, potatoes and parsley to onion mixture.
